Once again we have been contacted to help animals that Front Street will not. Once again abandoned starving animals are left to fend for themselves. The beautiful dog left in a backyard, the cat locked inside the house with no food or water. Once again caring neighbors NOT Front Street are tasked with saving these animals.                                                       

Numerous calls and emails were sent to Front Street, City Manager Howard Chan, and Councilmember  Karina Talamantes  and yet these animals continued to suffer . Crickets from Sacramento City Hall and Front Street!!                                                                                                                                                                Now at least we have a champion in our Sacramento District Attorney Thien Ho who recently filed a lawsuit against the City of Sacramento for not doing their JOB! Yesterday we contacted  his office and asked them to intervene to help these animals. They immediately contacted Front Street.  Finally today Front Street  confiscated these animals! 

We pray the cat will live! We pray the dog will get the help he needs! We will be actually "monitoring" them.  

These animals were clearly abandoned in violation of law. Clearly these animals had no food or water unless neighbors intervened. Yet their plight was ignored. 

This is just more proof that there is  lack of leadership, oversight and accountability at Front Street Shelter who receives over $$
EIGHT MILLION DOLLARS annually from taxpayers, millions more in federal funds, donations and grants to do their job yet daily we receive complaints of abused and neglected animals being ignored not only by Front Street BUT City Hall on a daily basis.
