Thanks to your support and activism, vaccine passports, as well as vaccine mandates by employers, are poised to become a reality for most Canadians this fall.
This is the right step to protect those who cannot get vaccinated, such as children less than 12, as well as all of society that will benefit from decreased case counts and less burdened hospitals.
Over 150,000 of you made your voices heard, and we can all breathe a little safer now.
We are entering an uncertain point in this pandemic; we all thought vaccinations and herd immunity would be the end, but sadly the virus has other plans for us.
Ending this pandemic will take vigilance, masking, ventilation fixes, use of rapid tests, and other measures. Where this pandemic goes next is an open question, but with preparation we can continue to live our lives as normally and safely as possible. We are confident that Canadians will be up to the task ahead!

We've developed (with input from mask companies and Health Canada) a database of Canadian N95 mask manufacturers here:
https://masks4canada.org/how-to-properly-make-buy-and-use-a-mask/
We recommend wearing an N95 mask at all times when indoors (especially when rates in your community are high), and many new generation masks are relatively cheap ($1-3 each), can be reused and will protect you very well on crowded transit, offices and shops.
We've also developed a guide to effectively deploying HEPA filters and monitoring ventilation in offices and classrooms. Cleaning the air of viral contaminants is one step in protecting all of us:
