Here’s an exciting update!
We’re making progress, and your support keeps us moving forward! Here’s what’s happened so far:
I recently met with journalist David Downey, a freelance writer for The Press-Enterprise and other Southern California News Group newspapers. David interviewed me about the petition, the Murrieta/Temecula I-15 bottleneck, and the daily impact congestion has on commuters traveling between Southwest Riverside County and San Diego. A newspaper photographer also took photos near I-15 during rush hour.
David is now interested in hearing directly from additional commuters who may be willing to share their personal experiences for the potential article.
He would especially like to hear from people affected by:
• Long and unpredictable commute times
• Lost family time or missed important events
• Stress, exhaustion, safety concerns, or added expenses
• Commuting between Southwest Riverside County and San Diego
• The lack of practical public-transit alternatives
• Ideas for improving the I-15 corridor
Participation is completely voluntary. Please only share information you are comfortable having discussed with a journalist. David will determine independently what information or quotations may be included in the story.
