Dear Friend,

In November 2022 I brought out a book ‘Zionism During the Holocaust’. It is about a subject that is rarely written about. It tells the story of how the Zionist movement, which today never hesitates to use the extermination of the Jews (but never mentions the Gypsies, Disabled or Russian POWs) as a justification for the barbaric treatment of the Palestinians.

Those who do hint at the truth, like Ken Livingstone in 2016, are demonised and ostracised.  My book, the product of nearly a decade’s research, establishes conclusively that:

i.        The Zionist Federation of Germany and the Zionist leadership in Palestine welcomed the rise of Hitler to power and sought to exploit the coming to power of the Nazis to build a Jewish state. Indeed some, like the national Zionist poet Nahman Bialik volunteered that ‘Hitlerism has perhaps saved German Jewry, which was being assimilated into annihilation.’

ii.       That the Zionist movement bitterly fought the Jewish  and labour movement Boycott of Nazi Germany and in August 1933 concluded a trading agreement, Ha'avara with the Nazis with the explicit purpose of building the Jewish economy in Palestine. Between 1933 and 1939 60% of capital investment in that economy was from Nazi Germany.

iii.      The Zionist leadership fought all rescue schemes for Jewish refugees from Nazi Germany whose destination was not Palestine. It even lobbied the Gestapo  not to allow Jews to emigrate to any other place. After Kristallnacht in November 1938 the British allowed 10,000 Jewish children to come to Britain. The Zionists were furious. David Ben Gurion, the Chair of the Jewish Agency and the first Prime Minister of Israel told the Central Committee of Mapai (Israeli Labor Party) on 9 December 1938:

If I knew that it would be possible to save all the children in Germany by bringing them over to England, and only half of them by transporting them to Eretz Yisrael, then I would opt for the second alternative. For we must weigh not only the life of these children, but also the history of the People of Israel.

iv.      Part of the reason for the close relationship between the Zionist movement and the Nazi state was ideological congruence. They both agreed that Jews were an alien nation that did not belong in Germany.

v.       Zionist collaboration with the Nazis was a continuation of the welcome that Zionism has historically given to anti-Semitism, which it rightly saw as the main force propelling Jews to Palestine, now Israel.

All of this and much more is in my book which is over 500 pages and contains over 3,000 footnotes.

It carries recommendations from Israeli and Jewish Professors Ilan Pappe, Moshe Machover and Haim Bresheeth and Richard Falk as well as Ken Loach.

You can purchase it for £12.50 paperback or £18 hardback (including postage – extra outside the UK)
