Everyone Active declines to consider change to opening hours

Dear supporters

Below is an email from Kevin Elford, the manager at Stratford Park, indicating that they are not prepared to review their opening hours this season, not even for a trial period. The meeting with SDC referenced did not alter the situation. Such a pity and a missed opportunity to get more people using the lido. Good afternoon Juliette, I have a meeting today with SDC where I intend to discuss the petition but if I’m being completely honest, I don’t expect there to be any further changes this season to our usual operating plans or opening times.  

Although I fully appreciate the desire from our customers wishing to swim outside of our contractual hours with the council there are numerous financial and operational reasons behind our decision to not offer early morning or late evening swimming at present.

I appreciate this may be disappointing news for all concerned I can assure you it is not a decision that is made without looking at all possibilities in continuing to offer the best service we can to our customers.
