Being elected as the first Ethiopian-born council member in Aurora, Colorado, was made possible because of your support and love. As an Ethiopian refugee, being elected to public office in America is not just history! it is a shared victory and a testament to our collective resilience.
The overwhelming feeling I had when I won this seat was that the true winners were all of you. And now, once again, I want to say congratulations to us all! But this journey is not over. we have only begun the race, and we have not yet reached the finish line. That is why I am calling on you, my community, for your continued support.

በኮሎራዶ ሀገረ ግዛት የመጀመርያው ትውልደ ኢትዮጵያዊ ካውንስል ሁኜ በአውሮራ ስመረጥ የእናንተ ድጋፍ እና ፍቅር ነበር ያነሳሳኝ። ኢትዮጵያው ስደተኛ በአሜሪካ ሀገር በህግ አውጪ ቦታ ላይ ሆኖ መመረጥ ታሪክ ብቻ ሳይሆን ኩራት ነው ለሁላችንም። ይህን ምርጫ ሳሸንፍ በወቅቱ የተሰማኝ ስሜት አሸናፊው እናንተ ናችሁ የሚል ነው። እናም በድጋሜ እንኳን ደስ ያለን እያልኩ ይህን ሂደት በዚህ ስለማንቆጨው እና ሩጫውን ጀመርን እንጂ ስላልጨረስነው አሁን የእናንተን የወገኖቼን ድጋፍ እፈልጋለሁ። የመጀመሪያ ኢትዮጵያዊ ካውንስል መሆን ብቻ ሳይሆን በጥሩ ማራቶን ድል እንደምናጠናቅቅ ማሳየት የግድ አለብን። በዚህ አጭር ጊዚያት በርካታ ወገኖቼን በኮሎራዶ እየረዳሁም ይገኛል። ታዲያ ይህንን የማራቶን ረጅም ሩጫ ለመጨረስ የፊታችን ሰኞ እንደገና እንድመረጥ የምርጫ ዘመቻ በይፋ የማስታውቅ ይሆናል። ታዲያ በዚህ ቀን የገንዘብ ድጋፍ ከ10 ዶላር ጀምሮ የተቻላችሁን ድጋፍ ታደርጉልኝ ዘንድ ይህንን የድጋፍ ሊንክ አያይዣለሁ እና የምርጫ ዘመቻዪን ይቀላቀሉ።
