5 DAYS TO SUBMIT LETTERS OF SUPPORT!!!!!

Friends—because of your support, we have huge news: Kofi M. Ajabu has officially been granted his clemency hearing!!!!

As a young man on a gap year between sophomore and junior years of college, Kofi found himself at the scene of a horrific tragedy that left three young people murdered. He was offered a plea deal that would have resulted in 20 years served, but refused to admit to murders he did not commit and elected to go to trial instead.

Although forensic evidence proved he did not commit murder, he was sentenced to life without parole. The Indiana Supreme Court overturned that sentence, finding there was no evidence he committed murder. Yet he was later resentenced to 240 years. Had he accepted the plea deal, he would have been released from prison over 10 years ago.  

Last year, Orvan Mabie, the Foreman of the jury that convicted Kofi, made a call for clemency stating he never believed Kofi killed anyone.  The parole board has responded!  

This is a rare and extraordinary chance for mercy and justice, and the parole board needs to hear from as many supporters as possible—right now!

We have less than a week. All letters of support must be submitted by Tuesday, October 1, 2025 to be included in the official packet.
