Hello again supporters, I want to thank all of you for signing or even viewing this petition. It helps the cause. However, EPISD continues to place a ban on many websites important to learning. The EPISD filter can be very inconsistent and confusing. Particularly, it can be much worse for any given student. It also usually does not block many gaming websites. Therefore, it is not effective in "protecting" students either. It only causes annoyance and hinders learning. My personal filter is especially bad. As a student, I experience troubles daily when trying to visit sites I was told to visit by my instructors. Whenever there is a link for a website on my geography homework, banned. Whenever I want to research something for personal or scholarly reasons, banned. Even when I was trying to look at news articles pertaining to the EPISD filter, it was banned. It also seems like EPISD has no problem with this and is not currently trying to fix this filter. As students, EPISD or otherwise, I believe we should raise awareness to this issue in an attempt to make change.
