Update: Premier Moe’s Plan Shows Progress—but Saskatchewan Needs More
Scott Moe’s "Strong Saskatchewan, Strong Canada" Plan is a direct response to the pressure we’ve been building. It addresses several key issues we outlined in our petition and letter, including:
✅ Streamlining regulatory processes—aligning with our call to modernize outdated legal frameworks.
✅ Pushing back against Ottawa’s industrial carbon pricing—which mirrors our demand for stronger economic sovereignty.
✅ Repealing federal electricity regulations—a step toward reclaiming control over Saskatchewan’s energy and resource sectors.
While this is a major step in the right direction, crucial elements remain unresolved:
❌ No referendum reform—our demand to lower the referendum threshold and extend the signature collection period has been ignored.
❌ No commitment to full political accountability—leadership must take direct responsibility for ensuring decisions reflect Saskatchewan’s will.
❌ No definitive action on agriculture security—we warned that politically driven trade restrictions, like China’s tariffs on canola, could cripple our industry overnight. This risk remains unaddressed.
We’re nearing 5.5K supporters, and momentum is still growing. Once we hit 6,000, I will personally deliver another letter to Premier Moe, making it impossible for him to overlook these missing commitments.
