An update on the campaign & a call for connections and shares

Dear Supporters,

I’m thrilled to share an exciting update in our campaign to bring methanol poisoning awareness to Canadian travelers.

 Not only do we have 27422 signatures on this petition to date, but recently, I had a productive meeting with the Canadian airline WestJet, where we discussed the importance of educating travelers about the dangers of tainted alcohol abroad and the steps airlines can take to share this information with passengers. The conversation was deeply encouraging, and I left feeling hopeful that this message — one rooted in prevention and compassion — is beginning to reach the right ears.

As many of you know, I lost my vision at 19 due to methanol poisoning while traveling. Turning that life-altering experience into advocacy has been both challenging and meaningful — and your continued support has made every step possible.

Thanks to your voices, signatures, and shares, this movement is gaining traction. But there’s more to do. I’ll be continuing to reach out to other airlines, airports, and travel safety organizations to expand awareness and ensure methanol poisoning prevention becomes a standard part of traveler education across Canada.

While I've reached out to many folks already, I'm struggling to find the right connections needed to get these important conversations started. This is why I'm asking all of you lovely supporters, do you know someone in the airport or travel industry that can help connect me with the right people to make this change?
