Ellison named Deputy DNC Chair, retains House seat

As many people will already know, Mr Ellison recently lost a narrow vote for Chair of the Democratic National Committee. While this is obviously a disappointment, it is encouraging that Tom Perez immediately named him Deputy Chair. The defeat also means that Keith will stay in his seat representing Minnesota's 5th District, which is good news both for his constituents, and for those of us hopeful that he will use the Congressional seat as a springboard for the 2020 nomination.
