The Sungai Wain forest is home to many protected species including orangutans, proboscis monkeys, gibbons and many other wildlife species. Rescued orangutans have also been rehabilitated and released in this beautiful forest, in 1996, 1997, 1998.

It is therefore unacceptable that the industrial area of Kariangau now also has started to expand to this tropical rainforest. Please halt the destruction and protect Sungai wain Forest. We need to preserve this forest for future generations.
