Just to make everyone aware, I (and the MANY other patients/ surgeons who have been screaming about this issue) have received absolutely 0 response from our elected officials despite the popularity of our videos/ petitions and media coverage.
I need you guys to do something for me. Spam our elected officials- MPPs, MPs, Premier, Health Minister and opposition leaders. They cannot keep ignoring this. Surgery backlog is a well documented problem and absolutely NO ONE is willing to try and fix it. Pointing fingers at past decisions is helping no one. Rather than focusing on past failures, someone needs to step up and be willing to fix the problem.
We elect these officials because we believe they are the best voice for the people and, so far, they are only catering to their own interests. It needs to stop.
I'm tired. Tired of this disease, tired of the anxiety, and tired of being blatantly ignored. So... spam our government until they listen. We have to be the squeaky wheels on this before more surgery patients die.
I can already feel myself burning out; I can't do this on my own. I, and every major surgery patient, need as many voices as we can get until something is done.
