Clearway Car and Truck Rentals, a Fraser Valley-based company, has demonstrated remarkable integrity and courage by standing against the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's (CFIA) plan to cull the healthy Ostriches of Universal Ostrich Farms.
Upon learning that their vehicles were being rented by the CFIA for this operation, Clearway took immediate action. They issued a formal statement, saying "Clearway had no prior knowledge that our vehicles would be used for this operation. We were made aware only yesterday and have since taken immediate action. A formal demand has been issued to the CFIA making it clear that we do not support or condone these actions and that our vehicles must be returned at once."
This bold stance not only halted the CFIA's plans but also highlighted the power of ethical business practices in the face of governmental overreach.
