Read this ... An Open Letter to The London Borough Of Camden Dept of Environment (Frances Wheat) and Planning (Jonathan McClue) Dear Jonathan and Frances Your ref: Change of Use/Planning Amendment Application - Consolidated Developments - Outbuilding to the Rear Of 6 Denmark St - Planned for Flats Our ref: Objection from The Save Tin Pan Alley Campaign / cc Historic England aka English Heritage The Save Tin Pan Alley campaign and musicians nationally would like to point out that the former Sex Pistols' home from 1975-1977 and their studio - formerly that of The Beatles/Apple Corps/and Badfinger - should be made into a museum. In Punk Rock's 40th Year this is where UK Punk Rock began with The Clash and The Damned meeting The Sex Pistols here. The demos for Anarchy In The UK, God Save The Queen and Pretty Vacant were recorded here by the late Dave Goodman, too. Britain's biggest all girl band Bananarama lived here after that as did Sex Pistol Glen Matlock in the 1980's. The cartoon artworks on the wall by Sex Pistol John Lydon have been likened by Paul Graves-Brown from UCL as being as important as the Cave Paintings by Prehistoric man at Lascaux in France. The former London home of Jimi Hendrix and Handel are now huge tourist attractions. See here ; http://handelhendrix.org/ A Sex Pistol's & Beatles' museum at number 6 Denmark St could be too!! The first of many newspaper features (we hope) is here now http://www.londonweeklynews.co.uk/article.cfm?id=100556&headline=WESTMINSTER:%20Save%20Sex%20Pistols%E2%80%99%20home%20for%20the%20nation§ionIs=news&searchyear=current And here too http://savetpa.tk/aa-music-week-05-08-2015/ Stop the developments here please Kind regards Henry Scott-Irvine Chairman and Founder of The Save Denmark St Campaign
