Hi everyone,

The new Chancellor Jeremy Hunt just announced that there will be “difficult decisions” ahead about public spending. I’m worried this means that NHS dentistry is approaching the end of the road. Further cuts, on top of dentistry already needing more than £800 million more funding every year to sustain the completely insufficient service as is, will destroy NHS dentistry forever.

But there’s something you can do about it. Politicians have called an urgent debate for this Thursday to raise the alarm about the NHS dentists crisis. Will you ask your MP to attend the urgent debate about the NHS dentist crisis this Thursday?

You can find out who your MP is here and can write to them using this text:

Dear *MP NAME*,

My name is (add your name), I am a constituent of yours (add your postcode). I am one of more than 250,000 people who have signed this petition for more NHS dentists now, at change.org/moredentistsnow.

I am incredibly concerned to hear that Chancellor Jeremy Hunt said there will be “difficult decisions” about public spending and what this  will mean for NHS dentistry which is already in crisis.

Please will you attend Peter Aldous MP and Judith Cummings MP’s urgent debate on NHS dentistry in the Main Chamber this Thursday morning and represent my concerns?

With best wishes,

*YOUR NAME*

Thank you,

Josh
