Hello Everyone,

The Toronto Star wrote a better article on the proposed open season hunt of Double-crested Cormorants. However it failed to mention that hunters can shoot up nesting colonies and that it takes both parents to raise their young. Shooting one adult parent would still result in the chicks dying.

It also did not provide a link to the government website to comment.

Please consider writing a letter to the editor raising these concerns and include the link to the govt. comment page. Letters to the editor are a great way to reach out to the general public.
