Petition updateWaive the Jones Act for Puerto Rico to Help Rebuild its Infrastructure and EconomyThe Navigations Acts & Demand a Special Commission Investigation into Maria Death Toll

The unprecedented devastation to Puerto Rico left the island more vulnerable than ever as it faces another uncertain hurricane season. The Jones Act imposes high transportation costs and has contributed to the decline of the island's economy. Without the resources it needs to step up the emergency response efforts, thousands of lives remain at risk. With this update, I also want to encourage you to sign the petition, started by Sara Arroyo, to Demand a Special Commission Investigation into Puerto Rico Hurricane Maria Death Toll. We should learn from our failures, especially when thousands of Americans are reported to have died as a result of them. Knowing the truth of the death toll can help Puerto Rico prepare to prevent future devastation.
Thank you so much for your continued support.
