I am sure most of you have received this email from The Cut. They have responded with a vague update on Lucky. This proves nothing. 

Here was my response back and I encourage all of you to send similar messages until we get tangible proof that Lucky is out of this woman’s care:

“To whom it may concern, 

Thank you for the update on Lucky. However, despite your response, our concerns about Lucky's well-being remain unaddressed. The assurance that she is "happy and healthy" simply doesn't suffice without tangible evidence. This matter has escalated to the point where over 23,000 people have voiced their concern through a petition, and we've collectively raised over $6,000 for Lucky's cause. The crux of our worry stems from the owner's admission of no longer feeling love for Lucky. It's distressing and prompts us to question Lucky's current living conditions. While we acknowledge the efforts made to report on Lucky's status, the lack of concrete evidence is troubling. It has pushed me to hire a private investigator due to the absence of direct action from your end. This is not just about one animal; it's a broader issue of accountability and care. The situation demands more than a written note—it requires action. We need to see proof of Lucky's health and happiness ourselves. It's imperative that more is done to ensure her safety. We are willing to cover the expenses to rehome her and multiple protestors have offered to take her in. We urge you to use the resources at your disposal to facilitate a welfare check on Lucky. Anything less feels like a refusal to help a creature in potential distress. This is urgent, and we hope for a more proactive response that can provide us with the peace of mind we desperately seek. 

We want to make it clear: we will not stop until there is justice for Lucky.
