Cornwall Council to go ahead with the Chiverton bridge!

Dear all
We found out on Friday that Cornwall Council have decided to go ahead with the multi user bridge at Chiverton. See below the Council's press release. We applaud the Council for making this decision. It is great news and to a large part down to your support. We had a huge response to our petition with over 2,000 signatures. We delivered this to the Council along with our written 'Case for the multi user bridge at Chiverton'. The bridge is a big gain for the community and for active travel.
The next key part of the jigsaw is the delivery of the segregated cycle path along Teagle Straight. This will be needed to maximise commuter, utility and leisure cycling on this key route between St Agnes and Truro. The announcement about the bridge will help by providing further impetus and rationale for the Teagle Straight section. We will keep you posted on this but in the meantime a big thank you again for your support.
Best wishes
