Tasya Van Ree, Raquel (Rocky) Pennington and iO Tillet-wright have all formally been served with Subpoenas. You can see proof of service HERE, HERE, and HERE. And it bears note that the plaintiff issued these subpoenas. Johnny Depp's lawyers, not Amber Heard's.
If you don't remember, Tasya Van Ree was Amber Heard's domestic partner, who Amber was arrested for assaulting in 2009.
We've all seen Rocky and iO lie for Amber, and even Tasya Van Ree once issued a statement downplaying the domestic violence incident.
What we haven't seen is Tasya Van Ree on the stand, under oath, willing to lie for Amber. And, really, she can't. She can try to downplay the incident, but she can't deny that it happened. And if the arresting officer is also called to testify, the severity of the attack will be on full display.
So the question becomes whether or not Van Ree will be willing to outright lie for her former partner, under oath, risking a perjury charge.
Were Rocky and iO called to the stand in the UK? Was Whitney? Was Josh Drew? How many of them will be willing to take the stand in America and commit perjury? The date for the VA trial is getting ever closer. It'll be interesting to see how many of them are willing to keep lying, or how many of those little rats start to jump ship as the date gets closer. Presumably, iO, Rocky and Van Ree have lives and livelihoods they don't want to risk losing by going to jail. And Whitney has a baby son she certainly doesn't want to leave so she can go and serve jail time for her abusive sister.
Truth is, Amber's little make-believe world is closing in around her. Whatever power it is she thinks she's got over people is fragile at best. People have a self-preservation instinct that's stronger than whatever sword of Damocles she's got hanging over their heads.
And, when the first rat cracks, the rest of them will hit the water like Ethel Merman choreographed it. Make no mistake about that.
Now, while Amber might be celebrating what she thinks is a win in the UK, that story isn't finished. Johnny is certain to win his appeal, even if it does take up to two years for the process to run its course.
And let's not forget that Amber's being investigated for perjury in Australia, and they're serious about putting her behind bars. Which begs the question, how is she going to travel to Australia to film Aquaman 2, as she claims, with that looming over her head?
Nah. I've heard that Warner Bros bought out her contract, and that's the information I'm running with. I'd bet dollars to donuts that she won't be AM2.
And I'm waiting to see which rat will jump ship first.
Who do you think it will be? iO? Rocky? Tasya Van Ree? Whitney? Josh Drew? Elon? Somebody else I haven't thought of? Who will turn on Amber first? Drop a comment and let us know who you think will crack first.
