Yesterday the Quewezance case was brought to the House of Commons. Federal Justice Minister David Lametti said he can’t comment on individual cases but that the independent criminal case review commission is coming soon.

The fact that these Indigenous sisters were mentioned in the House of Commons proves there is immense public interest. Hopefully this will make it difficult for the Judge to agree with the Saskatchewan government to do a publication ban.
