It's now over six months since we handed in the petition to the Irish Minister of Defence, Paul Kehoe, at Government Buildings in Dublin and last week I contacted his secretary to request an update. I've had a reply stating that I will hear back from the Minister in due course. The nature of the naming of a vessel is to do so at the Keel laying ceremony which signals the start of a ship's construction.

On another note, the book charting Tom Crean's story and bringing us right up to date with the campaign, is now available in Print paperback via https://tomcreanbook.com/product/tom-crean-book-paperback/ I'm really grateful to every single person who has taken time out of their day to sign this petition and we've added over a 1000 more signatures since handover despite the fact that I never continued to promote it thereafter.

I will update here when I hear back from the minister and thank you once again for your support. I feel confident that among future posts here will be one to inform that we have achieved our aim.
