Thank you for your support - Joan Norma Ginn memorial a high priority in draft Master Plan
Thank you for your support for this community campaign to create a memorial for Joan Norma Ginn in Camperdown Memorial Rest Park.
The planning for the future of the park is now progressing. Inner West Council will consider the public exhibition of the Draft Plan of Management and Master Plan for Camperdown Memorial Rest Park at their meeting on Tuesday 19 May 2026 (Agenda Item 6). The draft documents are available in the online meeting papers.
Joan Norma Ginn (Norris) memorial and sculpture design and commission is included as high priority in section 6.01 of the draft Master Plan.
This is a fantastic step to be celebrated!
We now need to keep momentum for the memorial and ensure it remains a priority in the final Master Plan.
If you would like to watch or speak at the Council meeting you can find out more information here.
If Inner West Council agrees to publicly exhibit the drafts they will be exhibited for 28 days for community feedback. This will be another opportunity to show your support for creating a memorial for Joan to ensure she won't be forgotten.
You can also keep sharing the petition and encourage more people to get involved.
