Another Day, Another Update

I promise it’s a quick one this morning!
1) If you want to come with us to hand in the petition, you can sign up here (we really do need an idea of numbers and this seemed the best way to record it)
2) As always - here’s the survey link for keyworkers with occupational Long Covid in the UK. It’s open till Monday March 13, at 12 noon.
3) If you have the energy, do please consider completing a case study document which has been slightly amended to ask about where you are in the U.K. When sending it over, please let us know if you’d prefer to be anonymous and also if we could use this on an update as well.
4) If you can bear it, can you have a look at these question suggestions and write to your MP, suggesting they write/present Commons questions to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care and/or the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, as well as considering putting in for a Prime Minister’s Question?
If you manage to do so, we would encourage you to let them know about what’s happening you your/family/friends’ careers, health and also about whether they’re eligible for any benefits at all. If you can copy us into the email, so we know who has been contacted, that would be FANTASTIC.
My day is wrestling with the briefing (again) and trying to summon the courage to contact local media, which, being autistic, I find incredible difficult. Other members of the team are working away on media and other contacts, open letters (see our social media!), liaising with other Long Covid groups and much, much more. All on top of trying to manage our own, personal situations.
Know that whatever our team are going through personally, we are committed to doing our best to at least raise awareness and point out that most of us don’t have years to wait for someone to think about compensation and adequate support.
Thank you for everything you are doing. Thank you for all of your support.
