Hi everyone

While we're all waiting for any movement from the powers-that-be regarding Pell's Honours, I thought I would take the opportunity to mention one other petition I have set up. (I hope you'll forgive me from straying off-topic just this once.)

I have stage 4 melanoma and when I was first diagnosed, my then-five year-old son and I started a campaign to convince LEGO to build a SunSmart beach set with Aussie lifesavers wearing sunscreen to help teach kids about using sunscreen when playing in the sun.  (LEGO has never made a minifigure with sunscreen or even a proper beach set.)  We managed to become one of the fastest ever projects on its crowdsourcing platform LEGO IDEAS to reach the 10,000 votes mark required to be considered for production. Despite its massive popularity and support (even the Australian Parliament got behind our campaign) the powers-that-be at LEGO rejected our idea.

But we're not quitters.  So, we have not started a petition calling on LEGO to ensure that any beach sets they make in the future have minifigures with sunscreen on.  If you think this is something that you think would help teach the children in your lives about being SunSmart, please sign our petition here.  Thanks for your time and consideration!
