You've got to love the way the council play hard and fast with our taxes:

Meanwhile, the planners in Truro (at Cornwall Council) doing what they do best:

"The £230 million Pydar regeneration scheme in Truro has won an award for “Future Ambition.” It is the project’s second award, confirming that those who conceive of such things have only a slim grip on reality." Earlier this year Cornwall Council’s Conservative cabinet voted to bail out the project with a further £10 million, even though none of that money is going to lay so much as a single brick. Talking of (over-)development, Cornwall Council mismanagement and shockingly poor decision-making at the top of Cornwall Council (led by Kate Kennaly, CEO), how about another failed scheme for the tax-payer, who meanwhile can't get any joy from adult and children's services, let alone a GP or dental appointment:
