From Doctor Deacon:
Correction. The shocking stats of net migration into Cornwall and thus population growth that I posted two days ago were a bit wrong. Here are the revised figures and it's even more shocking. In just one year the numbers have risen by 45%. 'Environmental growth' anyone?

Commen from one resident:
enventually, the motive behind the destruction of Cornwall and its people will become apparent and those responsible will be immortalised!
Open letter to Cornwall councillor and portfolio holder for planning and economy, Bob Egerton, or he’s become known, Bob the builder:
Dear Councillor Egerton
The new homes that make you so enthusiastic are getting a pretty bad press of late, and the appalling build standards are becoming common knowlege, as this post from a dissatisfied homebuyer testifies.
It is possible that this will become evident in the near future at that abomination called Tolgarrick Farm (Arch Hill, Truro), just down the road from your Kremlin Bunker.
Were you aware that the highly respected lifetime tenant of Tolgarrick was forced out while he was suffering from terminal cancer, to make way for this development?
By the way, congratulations on coming up with the most fatuous and crass statement we have yet to hear from you:
''Houses don't drive cars - people do''...
Unfortunately you seem to have neglected to allow for the fact that people live in the houses and most own at least one car each.
We are also very disappointed to note that to date you have failed to answer the question put to you in cabinet by Mr Bennetts of St. Day, with regard to ''what development proposals, if any, are there in relation to Besore Farm, Newbridge?''.
We have been reliably informed that you stated at the time that you did not have the relevant information to hand, but would reply to Mr Bennetts in writing.
Perhaps you would care to do so at your earliest convenience.
Yours faithfully
Cornish Solidarity
Meanwhile, our Dear Leader at Kremlin Kernow, Kate Kennally, gave her expensive views on Cornwall’s future:
www.lgcplus.com/politics-and-policy/workforce/kate-kennally-cornwall-will-control-its-own-destiny/7025077.article
Some extracts:
And the challenges facing Cornwall are stark. Following almost 60 years of economic hardship, the county is the only English area defined as a ‘less developed’ region by the European Union.
“The past 60 years have been difficult for Cornwall but that doesn’t mean to say that it will always be difficult for Cornwall,” Ms Kennally, who joined the south-west county in 2016, told LGC.
“Actually, instead of our geography being a problem, it could end up becoming one of our biggest advantages in the future. We need to be optimistic.”
Aaah, bless her, two years in the job, one expensive taxpayer-funded piss up in Cannes, £2bn in debt, and her first move for Cornwall is to borrow another £600m to build us some new towns in Truro, Newquay and elsewhere, with a little help from green landlord extraordinaire, prince Charles and chums. Time to cash in whilst Cornwall still has farms to concrete over. Cornwall, the gift that keeps giving... multimillion ££ bonuses and profits to royals and developers.
Our council’s almost as shortsighted and moronic as those twerps that thought it was a good idea to build new estates on the flood plains of the Somerset Flats, only to be gobsmacked when they, er, flooded...
