Dear Supporter, 

First of all, we at Woodlands Botanical Garden would like to express our gratitude to all of you - those who support, comment, share and promote our petition. 

Now that the weekend is coming, we hope that you can add a little more weight to your support in a very easy way - to directly feedback to HDB in their consultation, and advocate for protecting the whole forest.

As mentioned in the petition, we have until 10 December (Tuesday) to feedback to HDB about what to do with Woodlands N1 forest, and below are the links to do that.

What should you write? Well, the key is to be honest, and to use your own voice! Here are some points that you can consider including: 

• Woodlands N1 Forest should be protected as a whole.
• It should be protected because it contains a great diversity of wildlife, within a small area.
• Forests like N1 are precious, because it's not just about the number of trees, but their ecosystem as a whole. Even if we replanted double the number of trees elsewhere, we cannot easily replace what is lost by destroying the forest.
• Whether to combat climate change, or to preserve our natural heritage for all Singaporeans, it is important to retain forested areas like Woodlands N1.

We trust that you know how to write a good feedback. Many of you have written concise and sincere comments for the petition - now, by writing directly to HDB, you make it that much harder for them to ignore our request!

Once again, thank you so much for your support. The fight to preserve Singapore's natural habitat has been long and hard, but in the successes from recent years, we can see a glimmer of hope. It is so heartening to see that we are not alone in what we believe and what we strive for.
