Good news!

Thank you so much for your support of this petition. I wanted to share some good news with you! Since Trump's meeting with Obama he seems to have taken a softer stance on a couple of pieces in Obamacare. One being the pre-existing conditions portion and the other being the right to keep children on their parents insurance until the age of 26. Unfortunately there are no details yet - there is still a very real concern of a risk pool which would be unaffordable for most people with chronic illnesses and annual and lifetime caps which are unrealistic and most chronic illness situations. Let's keep this petition going and with it's momentum, I think it will be seen by Dr Ben Carson at a minimum. It looks like he is being tasked with helping create the new plan - that is more good news because as a surgeon, he understands healthcare needs for people with pre-existing conditions! Trump was also quoted as saying He will "amend or repeal and replace.". That subtle change in terminology is huge! Thank you for being a part of this movement to care for each other and the right to proper healthcare for all!
