Community Awareness Campaign Begins: Seeking Truth, Transparency, and Accountability

Today, our family has begun distributing information flyers throughout the local community surrounding St Joseph’s Melkite Church in Fairfield.
The purpose of this community letterbox campaign is to ensure that members of the parish and wider community are aware that more than two years have now passed since a formal written complaint, supported by evidence, was submitted to Church leadership regarding allegations of misconduct by Father Samir Haddad.
Despite the seriousness of the complaint, we continue to wait for any meaningful update regarding the progress, findings, or outcome of the matter.
Our family believes that transparency, accountability, and the protection of vulnerable members of the community must take precedence over silence and inaction. The continued absence of communication has caused ongoing distress and has left many unanswered questions.
The flyers being distributed include information about this petition and provide members of the community with an opportunity to learn more about our experience and to decide for themselves whether they wish to support our call for accountability and transparency.
We remain committed to pursuing truth, justice, and healing. Our intention is not to divide the community, but to encourage openness, accountability, and meaningful action.
We sincerely thank everyone who has signed, shared, and supported this petition. Your support reminds us that we are not alone in seeking answers.
Please continue sharing this petition so that more members of our community can become informed:
