Norfolk Southern, which is awash in huge profits, recently entered a purchase agreement with the Board of the Cincinnati Southern Railway to acquire this municipally owned railway, the only one in the nation, for over $1.6 billion. Transfer of this lucrative railway to NS requires voter approval. Add your voice to those who demand that NS not be allowed to take over this valuable city asset and put still another community at grave risk with their incessant drive to maximize profit. Contact Cincinnati city officials and any residents you know and tell them that money is needed to save lives in East Palestine not further enrich this notorious corporation.
