The Councils in both Salford and Leeds can do something about puppy farm pet shop Dogs4Us..... DEFRA has stated that Councils can restrict the animals that can be sold via license conditions. Some local authorities such as Southampton City Council and Stroud District Council have already used their powers to prevent the sale of puppies in pet shops, others such as Swindon have placed restrictions on how far away the puppies can be sourced from.
