Our petition has legal ramifications which relate to our celebration of July 4th, Independence Day. Our Declaration of Independence 1776 says this:
"We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people."
And this explains why we wrote and sent our petition to Hillary Clinton, a petition that has been ignored, but which helps us to define Hillary Clinton as unfit to rule a free people. And what are our rights when our legitimate petitions to end our grievances are ignored?
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men [and women] are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men [and Women], deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government..."
We are in a process of, in the very least, "abolishing the Democratic Party and instituting a new Democratic party" which is our right to do OR we are, perhaps, in a serious and deliberative process of "abolishing the current United States of America and beginning the United States Government anew" which again, we as free people have every right to do.
As our Declaration of Independence 1776 notes "Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes..." hence our willingness to petition, to argue and to point up injustices again and again in our efforts to proceed in a deliberative manner. Our petition is a small piece of the process in which we find ourselves in our seeking a just government and a life in a just world.
