I support the above motion to reconsider the recent RS zoning amendments and urge council to approve it.
(You could just send the above statement or add some reasons to support this motion such as:)
Some of the reasons I think the recent RS zoning amendments should be reversed are:
- no public consultation & overrides community plans
- incentivises demolition of character and heritage houses
- has no disincentives for demolition like RT zones
- undermines character house incentives for retention
- reduced minimum onsite parking for new builds
