In the category of “you cannot make this stuff up,” re-elected City Councillor Bill McNulty deflects responsibility for approving mega-mansions on Richmond’s Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR). Limiting house sizes on farmland was clearly within their jurisdiction, and six out of nine council members including McNulty - deliberately - chose not to back in May 2018.
