First, I have been thanked a few times today in my attempt to help voices get heard. Some have said they tried on their end for weeks prior to get in touch with council members or the mayors office and felt abandoned. I’m glad we can all work together in hopes for a temporary change during Covid 19 in order to allow our community members to feel safe where they live. This is the goal.
Second, NJ Transit called me today from feedback I emailed in. They stated that they have no authority over this situation and that it is the City of Hoboken that can approve or deny this request. That being said, when I have reached out to ask who is responsible for this the City of Hoboken said to reach out to NJ Transit and that they could provide me with a phone number.
I see how the voices of our community members have not been going heard with this type of run around.
