Thank you to everyone for your support. Our goal is to get 20k signatures. However, the more signatures we get, the more pressure we give to our local government. Over the past two years, our organization has spoken to all major municipalities asking about their anti-racism work and action. Calgary remains one of the only major city in Canada that is afraid to even use the word anti-racism, let alone take any action. Time and time again we've seen our government use words like "diversity and inclusion" and "multicultural" in their policies and strategies that sit on a dusty shelf, and at the end of the day, they have done little to nothing related to anti-racism. In fact a few councillors themselves have said racist remarks in meetings that have been publicly recorded.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. We demand a public consultation on systemic racism NOW!
