A Dream For The Dying

Metal surrounds their frail little bodies, solidifying their inevitable coffin.

Thoughts of wide-open meadows and running wild through fields of freedom are their only connection to how things once might have been.

Caged by man and circumstance, their souls rot and wilt away.

But still they do not wish for death to come their way.

Instead, they pray; that change won't wait and the dream of a better tomorrow will begin with us today.
