NDA Government has started pushing Model Tenancy Act of 2015. This would bring following benefits to the tenants: 1) Security Deposit charged from the tenants would be capped at 3 times the monthly rent. 2) Rent ceiling would be fixed. 3) Tenants can claim reduction of rent if the quality of service offered deteriorates.
