Dear friends, After my meeting in Lisbon on 27 December 2016, with the Minister of Agriculture, Forests and Rural Development, it was agreed that i should sent by email directly to him a formal letter applying for the entrance in Portugal of 650 greyhounds! The letter was sent to his private email on 30 December 2016! The idea was for the Portuguese Authorities to see if there was any law obstacle and if not which were the conditions for the entrance of so many animals, besides the normal European rules! On 12 January 2017, also by email, i received the formal letter from the Portuguese Minister Cabinet referring the conditions for the animals to enter in European Community. In conclusion, there are no objection for that, as my only concern was only the huge number of dogs sent in once. All requests by the PT authorities are ok for us. We can work them easily. The animals must enter by the Lisbon airport as it is the nearest allowed. So now we go to step 2 which is to press the Macau Government to convince Canidrome to give us the dogs! The petition in course made by our Italien friends of Pet Levrieri Onlus will help a lot. Please support us signing and promoting the petition! We can not guarantee that our dream will be accomplished and we can save all those animals, but i can guarantee that we will do whatever is in our hands to save them!
