Progress + an ask! (Science of Reading in IL)

Hello!

Well, after 350+ signatures (thank you!), IASB Resolution 1 PASSED — and NOW there's a RIGHT TO READ ACT on the docket for all of Illinois. 

Please fill out a Witness Slip by this Monday 2/7/22.*

Here is a factsheet about the act. And some FAQs.

* Some tips for filling out the witness slip -- it takes 5 minutes:

- For “Representation,” you can put “parent” or “self” (same for "Firm/Business or Agency", and "Title" fields)

- For “Position,” check “Proponent”

- For “Testimony,” check “Record of Appearance Only”

- Agree to the Terms of Service.

It's time for Illinois to do what's right so all kids learn to read!
