Today the Women and Equalities Committee published it's Parliamentary Inquiry into Disability and the Built Environment. Some months ago I submitted this petition as well as a statement to this inquiry as written evidence. Today, based on my evidence and that of other campaigners, recommendations were made that Changing Places toilets become a requirement in larger public buildings unless adequate provision is already in place locally, and that more must be done to provide Changing Places toilets in transport infrastructure. These sound like steps in the right direction, but it remains to be seen whether the Government will act on these recommendations. To read the full inquiry than please click the link, Changing Places are mentioned from page 39.
