Poojaneeya Chidananda Puri Swamiji speaking about whether or not to visit temples during the testing times of COVID 19 pandemic. 

The Central government guideline is that places of worship may be opened if it is really required and if all preventive precautionary measures are perfect. It wasn't an order but a choice. It is upto the state governments to assess the local situations and to decide. And it is very much uncertain if all the preventive precautionary measures can be effectively provided in all temples. Temple gathering should not cause for a surge in COVID 19 cases.

The prime importance in a Hindu temple is Pooja offered to the presiding deity.  Devotees should decide judiciously.
