Kwey Petition Signatories,
Yesterday on Aboriginal Day in the House of Commons the Liberals and Conservatives voted against motions put forward to amend Bill S-3 that would have brought gender equality for Indigenous women and their descendants - including the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Minister of Justice Jody Wilson-Raybould, Minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Carolyn Bennett, and Minister of Status of Women Maryam Monsef. It will be interesting to see what the Senate does with this Bill during this time of reconciliation.
It will be interesting to learn what the Senate, the house of sober second thought does with the Bill now.
