Thank you all for your signatures and continued outrage over this horrible situation. Yesterday I began the process of attempting to email members of the California assembly. I had interviews with NPR, Reuters and Fusion.net. I also was approached by the today show for a comment. The petition has been featured on several different news outlets and the movement is gaining clout. I have messaged Tony Thurmond as well as Autumn Burke from the California State Senate and am eagerly awaiting their response and hopefully their support.
