Dear Friends:

We do not need to go over the impact of Hurricane Michael on Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Virginia because it is covered in the news and, unfortunately, some of you may have had first-hand knowledge from direct experiences with this Category 4 hurricane.

What we want to point out is that the lack of governmental policy to appease Climate Change and to protect communities from the impacts of Climate Change, has become unbearable.

Too many people are dying, too much infrastructure is being destroyed and too much damage is being inflicted to the environment, in the USA and elsewhere, like in Sulawesi, Indonesia, where more than 2,000 people have perished, and likely 5,000 more from being buried in mud (Recall that Climate Change is behind the major increase in earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions, as we explained in a previous update).

At this stage of Climate Change, Climate Change Adaptation (Preparation ahead of  events) is as important as Climate Restoration, specially for cities and counties.  This is a reality that must be embraced by the Climate Change Action movement as fast as possible.

We are deeply sad for the pain and destruction that so many are already enduring. We hope that many more people will wake up to the Climate reality the world is in, and act.

As always, get more people to sign this petition and do everything you can in your community.
