COVID-19 reveals how preexisting conditions in communities of color are tied to poor diet..

With the COVID-19 pandemic, the racial disparity in deaths found in the African diaspora community is tragic but not surprising. Cultural predators who take advantage of low-income multicultural communities have a hand to play in the systemic victimization of our communities...seems they start young.
After a lifetime of children being brainwashed even at the footstep of their schools, when their poor health is exposed by the next pandemic... no one will remember the Burger King across from Boston Preparatory Charter School in Hyde Park, MA.
Please remember schools are supposed to be safe places for our kids to grow. While society, looks at guns and drugs as the only dangers to our children, we know better! Burgers and fries claim even more lives ultimately than the guns and drugs.
I will leave you with this... In Chicago, IL. 14% of the population is Black, 30% of the COVID-19 infections were Black and 71% of the COVID-19 deaths are Black. In essence the health of a 65 year old white man is comparable to a 45 year black man. When we speak of reparative justice we speak of the endless duration of systematic anti-racism governmental efforts aka Reparations to fix this one of the many racial disparity we see in America today!!!
Ensuring strong education both cultural and academic are needed to educate on nutrition, improving cooking habits, family value support etc. We may not be able to stop them from selling burgers to kids but we can make them pay for Nutritional education. Let's Go!!!
