Over the past year, BC Hydro reviewed the Metro North Transmission Project. Their review confirmed that demand in this part of the Lower Mainland hasn't grown as expected. As a result, the project isn't needed by 2022, as previously planned.

BC Hydro has put the project now on hold while they analyze a new electricity demand forecast, updating us early next year.
