This Month My CCP disability and Aish went UP a bit..but it is to LITTLE of an increase..Even the Hosuing Misister SAID SO.
The extra money is not extra money..It means people can spend a bit more on their BILLS AND FOOD.
Its Not money we can bank for a rainy day cause its raining NOW all the time.
What I don't really understand and maybe I ain't that bright but when even a MP says its not enough and the Food Banks are at a all time HIGH and we need Rent to be something we can afford, Food pricess need to come down...Then why ARE THEY NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
We Know its not enough..we don't need you to tell us this..we are aware!!! So don't try and people please by telling Us something we all ready KNOW!
This month maybe the hardest for a lot of PEOPLE..me included..do you know how many people I see pick something Up in a store Look at the price and PUT IT BACK..I can see the sadness in peoples faces...Its not something we will burden our kids with...we will smile and say everything is OK when we are fighting a battle every single MONTH. Hoping Lil Billy an LIL Sue arn't sad on Xmas morning, cause we are trying our BEST...
The voulnters for Santa Annoynoms are stuggling because of Gas, and being able to try and help when they have to fill their tank for Work...
Parents with 2 jobs may not even get a break to see their KIDS...some places go on regarless of the HOLIDAY...Others it may well be the only day they get off because of the GREED..to have everything OPen with so call deals..for what is it NOW BOXING MONTH!! We are losing family time family values because we are at our breaking points!!!
Gone are the days of visiting with family and friends during the season...people are trying to hard to make ends meet..and its putting the families IN Jeporday....
I grew up in the 60's..Nothing was Open Boxing Day...We went to visit people...have a catch Up..Enjoy the time together...Now No one has the time!!
When I owned My buisness In WEM..I had to get there by 5am Boxing DAY to find a parking space!!! When I was in the Retail buisness I had to get UP just as early for the MASSIVE SALES that were nothing more than a ploy for big companies to show their GREED.
This past Black FRIDAY was the worst turn out in a long time...no line UPS...no people waiting to get in the doors...we can't afford anything!!! Unless its shoes, or clothes for the KIDS, we don't have a dime to spare!!!
The season fairy didn't come and pay my bills IN DEC!! they came anyhow!!!
With the government checks and CPP coming out early its going to be a very long Jan....and I do hope even though times are so very hard that People remember to put money away for the Rent..it is very tempting to spend it with the 1st so far off and the Kids wish lists looking at them...I am hopeful that people will think of this before the landloards and slumloards coming knocking on the door IN JAN for non payment!!
Myself I have no problem going back to the old way..when the government sent reant right to the landloard....I didn't see it as them saying well these people don't know how to handle money...cause we all know how..it was just easier knowing that the landloard would get his money regardless...and I think maybe a few landloards would like this back in place as well. I don't know for sure but I do no I have no problem with this....
So yes we might have gotten a small increase..but it was far from enough...If your company was good enough to give you a bonus thats great...but a pizza party is not a bonus!!! Or a company Jacket and MUG!
